Spotlight on Gleaners
The DG Alumnae chapter has partnered with Gleaners Food Bank for an opportunity to both socialize and to do good. Since the pandemic started, Gleaners has held a weekly drive through where volunteers hand out enough food to feed a family of four to each family. This pick-up process adheres to all COVID-19 guidelines, including wearing masks and gloves. DG alumnae volunteer at Gleaners every second Thursday of the month from 4:30-7:30 pm. Anyone over 18 years old is able to volunteer. Current Butler University DG's and Anchormen have come out to help. If you are interested in volunteering, you can contact Maria Perez, VP Foundations, at email@example.com.
Indianapolis Alumnae of Delta Gamma Silent Auction Update!
A silent auction and trivia night to support Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) of Indiana took place in November. We raised $6,000, which is a huge win especially because of the pandemic and the new building VIPS is building as their future Indiana home. A huge shoutout goes to the Fundraising Committee for trivia, Laruie Roselle, Wendy Vivirito, and Lynda Young. They collected goods and services worth more than $15,000. Thank you to everyone who participated, and thank you to the following people who donated to the silent auction:
